It's Halloween!

Hellllooo! It's finally Halloween! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, the candy, Halloween cupcakes, scary movies, dressing up, everything! Because of Halloween, I'm going to tell a scary story(>.<) So here we go!(this is a story I found from Creepy Pasta, and I love it):
                                                                   Raincoat
" It’s a small memory. A fragment almost entirely hidden in your hazy recollection of past years, of oddly dream-like days where the imagination ran wild and free, blurring the lines of the so-called “reality” that you now have as an adult, and your innocence and carefree youth kept you for the most part very happy. You were young, in 1st grade. Late at night you stumbled from the bathroom, and bleary-eyed walked through the familiar dark of your room that still scared you quite often. You were too tired to be afraid, so you didn’t rush as you normally did into the sheets. You walked past the slightly dirty window with a view of a dimly lit street below, and you thought you saw somebody in what was maybe a yellow raincoat walking up the street.
This began to happen often. You would wake up with the urge to look out the window, and sometimes you would see him.
He indeed wore a yellow jacket, even on the driest of nights. You’d see the strange man walking up the street in the deadest hour of the night, and even in your young age you knew that was weird. You’d watch him for a few seconds, and every time he stopped and looked around, then turned towards your house, and you’d quickly duck under the covers and not come out until morning. Eventually, though, Mom put up blinds and you stopped looking for the weird man.
Days, weeks, months passed. Years went by, rolling like an endless and unstoppable tide. School, friends, hobbies, girls, they all pushed the strange set of memories from your conscious mind.
One night, in your senior year of college, you were studying late at the library. When you finally packed it in, you headed out and started to walk home to your apartment a few blocks down, since gas is expensive.
On a drearily lit street, you got the creepy feeling that someone was watching you. A few times you turned around but nobody was behind you. Then you felt like it was coming from higher up, and you looked at a slightly dirty window in a strangely familiar house. But there was nobody.
You shrugged it off and, as a loud crack of thunder pealed overhead, you gladly threw on your yellow raincoat and continued up the silent street."

My Stretchy-Dingys

Hello! Last night I accidentally fell asleep at 5:30 P.M, and I woke up at 4:30 A.M this morning, feeling fully refreshed. So I decided (since it's super early and I have a dance private in a couple hours) to write about what I like to call my Stretchy-Dingys, or the tools I use to stretch. Here are my top 3 favorite Stretchy-Dingys (in no particular order):
  1. Superior Band/Ballet Band- This is actually my absolute FAVORITE stretching tool, because I can use it all the time. It is a green band that you wrap around your legs and then open into your middle splits. And it really hurts. As I type right now, I am using it. There are many different variations you can do with it, but I usually resort to the middle splits. I love this tool so much because It has helped me improve tremendously and it doesn't take long to see your improvement with this.
This is how I usually use the band!
  2. I-Flex Stretch Unit- This one I really like, but it's harder to use since you need to hook it on to a door to use it. This one stretches your hips as well as the Superior Band, but one leg at a time. This one I usually use during my Stretch/Strength class or during competition time, but it's a really great stretcher!
This is how it works!

 3. Arch Genie- This is another one that I love. It stretches your feet to help improve your point. I can use this all the time when I'm bored and it has helped my get my point/arch a lot better. It has a really comfortable bottom padding, so it doesn't hurt your heel when using it.
This is how it works, and there is a variety of designs to pick from
You can get all of these from either Amazon, or the official websites. Until next time!

Unintentionally Choreographing To Every Song I Listen To

The one thing I love doing more than anything else in the world is dancing. From Hip-Hop to Ballet, I love every single second of what I do. The styles I focus on are Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Bollywood, and Hip-Hop, although Contemporary is definitely my favorite style of dancing. Every song that I listen to, I immediately start moving my body, whether it's in my head, or actually moving.
A little bit about my dance life this year:
  1. I dance about 18-20 hours a week
2.   I'm on a competition team
  3. The dances I'm competing with this year are two Contemporary group dances, My Contemporary solo, Two Jazz group dances, a Hip-Hop group dance, and a Tap group dance.
4.   I aspire to be professionally dancing when I get older
This is just my intro do my dance side of the blog. Soon I hope to be posting videos/pictures
, and writing about competitions once those start later in the year!

The End of Malerie Gold Part 2

After heading to the counseling office to find out where my classes are, I start walking to my first class, which is Biology, room 112, block A. I'm already in block A, so I shouldn't have trouble finding the class. Good. I think to myself. Even though I already asked the lady at the counseling office I'm myself very forgetful and I forgot where my class is.
After five minutes of my trying to find room 112, I finally find it and glance at my phone. 8:02 A.M. Great. This is the prefect impression for me to make on my first day of school. I take a deep inhale, and step inside. Everyone automatically turns there head and looks at me. I begin to freeze up when the teacher says to me in a stern voice,
  "You are late. Explain."
I think for a couple seconds before replying in an innocent voice, "I'm so sorry. It's my first day of school ever and I had trouble finding the class."
"You should have come earlier than, sit down, front and center," she looks down at her clipboard, "Ms. Gold."
I scurry to my seat and sit begin to copy notes as she begins a lecture.
Four long and painful hours later, I find the outside lunch area (without a lunch, I forgot one) and look for a seat. I scan the yellow benches and green tables surrounded by trees before I realize, Wait. Nobody knows you here except for Zachary, and he probably has his own friends. I frown, turn around and begin to leave, but I bump into a hard chest.
"Sorry..." I mutter, then look up to see who it is.
A tall boy who looks sixteen scowls down at me and says, "Watch it." before shoving me to the side, making me drop my French 1 book. I lean down to grab my book then stand up. I walk back inside the halls, not knowing where i'm about to go but then see Zachary. I smile and he turns around. I'm about to call his name and my smile fades. His face is red and blotchy, as if he's been crying. We make eye contact and he quickly turns away. What happened to him? He looks like he's alone, so it shouldn't be a big deal if I ask him.
I walk up to him and ask,"Zachary, what's wrong?" He turns to look at me and sniffs. Before saying anything, he grabs my arm and drags me behind a wall outside that's been spray painted yellow and green. He takes something out of his pocket. He shows me a picture of what looks like a seven year old Zachary, and a little girl next to him I don't recognize.
"I don't get what you're trying to show me." I say in a small voice.
"Do you know who this girl is?" He says, while pointing to the girl in the picture.
  "No.. Who?"
  "It's you." He says quietly.
I frown at him. Is this a stupid joke? "We've only just met today, Zachary."
"Maybe I've just met Malerie Gold, but I knew April Young a long time ago." his voice cracks a little bit.
April Young? That girl on the news who went missing years ago? What does this have to do with me?
"You're confusing me. What does April Young have to do with anything?"
  "Because you're her."
My eyes widen, then I laugh.
"This is the worst joke ever. Okay, Let's say I was her. How would you know?"
  "Because I'm Zachary Young."
I stare awestruck at him. As soon as he says that, everything that i've forgotten the first four years of my life comes rushing to my head somehow. I remember that I am April Young.

Thats the end of the short story! (I know, i know, it wasn't good) but it was fun for me to write. Until next week!

The End of Malerie Gold Part 1

Helloooo! I'm writing another weird scary-ish story today. I really like these kind of stories, they're fun to come up with and write. But anyways, here's the story!

2006
"The four year old daughter named April Young was found to be kidnapped last night as her parents Todd Young And Maria Young were asleep in their room. No further information has been revealed, and the police are still trying to find evidence." The television turns off and I look at my parents.
"Why can't I watch?" I say to them.
"Because Malerie, It's not important." my mom says.
2016
It's my first day of high school, and I'm getting ready to leave.
"Mom! I'll be in the car!" I shout to my mom as I get into the car. She comes in two minutes later and we start driving to my new school, West High School in silence.
Fifteen minutes later we arrive and my mom kisses the top of my head.
"Have fun, and be careful." she says to me.
"Thanks. Love you!" I say and leave the car.
Standing in front of the school, I awe. It's huge, covered in our school colors which are yellow and green. Everyone including me is wearing our school uniform (an ugly green skirt/pants and a light yellow shirt). I've always been homeschooled and this is really exciting for me.
"Well, you should probably walk in instead of standing there like an idiot." a voice says behind me.
"What? Oh, yeah, sorry.." I blush as I face the boy in front of me. He looks a lot like me, we have the same medium brown hair, nose, and green eyes. We could almost be siblings.
"No worries, I'm Zachary." Zachary holds out a hand for me to shake.
"Malerie." I say and I shake his hand.
"Well, see you around. I have to get to class." he says to me, then turns around and leaves.
I nod and watch him enter the school. He looks a lot older than me. I would guess that he's a junior or a senior. I smile to myself, because I just made a friend for the first time in my life.
                                               -Grace :)
(I'm finishing this next week by the way. I wanted to write in two parts, even though it's a short story.)
